Izzy graduated from high school and is getting ready to move away from home. I am very sad about this, but I know it is the next step of a journey that I'm excited to see. It is such a cliche, but my time with Izzy has been way too short. I remember the day she was born as clearly as if had happened today. A little boy is already making plans about moving into her bedroom.
I have dealt with her looming absence by doing something I swore I would NEVER do! I got myself a puppy. We've had Scout for 4 weeks and we are all hopelessly in love. He is a goldendoodle, 3/4 toy poodle 1/4 golden retriever. Scout, the boys and I get to start puppy school in a week. We are excited to learn how to get him from sinking those sharp puppy teeth into our bare ankles. He already knows how to sit.
